Tuesday

It was so nice to sleep in! {Thank you, Trav!} We dropped Trav & Mike to play golf, & the rest of us went to check out the mall. We had lunch, did some shopping {for shorts for poor Meri!} & went back to get the boys from the golf course. Greg barbecued burgers & we watched “Dancing with the Stars.” A very low key day.

Heading to the mall...

Monday - Happy Birthday Travis!

We got to start a bit later today & went to Goofy’s Kitchen for a Character Breakfast. We loved this! It’s an all-you-can-eat buffet {the food is great!} at the Disneyland Hotel & several of the characters come around to your table so you can get their pictures & say hi. The girls were excited as each one made their appearance. Merilyn was beside herself as the characters came to the table. {To think I was worried she wouldn’t want to get close to them!} In fact, she got to bake a cake with Goofy, & when it was over she was so ticked off she needed a few minutes in time out to cool off.

It was another full day of rides & lots of walking. The difference today was that the sun was out & it was beautiful! We all wore short sleeves, sunglasses, and suntan lotion.

We celebrated Trav’s & Casey’s birthdays at the Rainforest Cafe with a wonderful dinner & their special volcano cake. It’s a good thing I’m doing so much walking & stroller pushing, because I’m eating a lot of fabulous food!

It cooled off quite a bit tonight so we bundled up & headed back to the park for more rides & the fireworks display. So cool!

We pretty much all crashed when we got home we were so tired from two very full days. I’m looking forward to taking a break from Disney and taking it easy!

Sunday - Happy Birthday Casey!

Today was rainy!! The first stop was to get rain ponchos for the girls & then on to the new {to us} Nemo ride. From there we hit all of the old favorites... Small World, Dumbo, the carousel, Snow White... it wasn’t very crowded because of the rain, which was nice! And, being Oregonians, the rain didn’t bother us!! It did get pretty cold & windy, however, & that wasn’t fun. Even the High School Musical special got canceled because of the weather! Now, that was disappointing.
It cleared off at times during the day & warmed up for a minute or two. KC & I joked about how often we took off our coats & then put them back on. The girls had a ball & that is all that mattered!

Disney, Here we come!

We left as soon as I could get away from school on Friday and started the drive down to California. We drove straight down & {with a couple of quick stops} we got to our condo Saturday afternoon. The girls are so excited! The weather forecast says "rain"... but we're hoping it'll pass through quickly.

Teeth 3 and 4 by Alison

Tooth #3 February 19 - I was chewing on some popcorn and it hurt! Then I pulled it out.

Tooth #4 March 7 - I was in my bed wiggling my tooth. And, I pulled it out!
When it's too quiet in our house we know Merilyn is up to something. Some days it's not too bad! This is an example of, "It could have been worse." She found one of Ali's little stamps and gave her doll a little make-over. She was quite proud of her handiwork!

I would like to take a minute to thank Uncle Ross his fabulous birthday gift for Alison - the HSM 3 dolls. {Can you hear the sarcasm in that?} Merilyn love-loves them! She plays their little song button repeatedly and sings along. It might not be so bad if it played a little longer than a few seconds of the same thing... over and over and over... And, yes, Auntie KC she also love-loves the Hannah Montana microphone just as much. Thank you for that as well.
