Sun!?

What a beautiful day! We were so excited to see the sun today... I would love to see a few more of these days.

The girls were so happy to get outside and play. "Poor Travis" {as my Uncle Bob calls him} got to mow the "field" in our backyard. It's truly amazing how quickly the grass gets out of control in the back! He was happy to take a break from his tedious chore to play with the girls for awhile. A little baseball with Ali, and chase with Merilyn. They couldn't have been happier. :)

{Merilyn seems to be throwing the water noodle like a javelin...}

Happy Easter!

We thought Travis was going to have work on Sunday, so we had our family brunch on Saturday. Casey hosted a very nice brunch and, of course, Mom had her egg hunt set up for the adults. We get a bit rough as we throw each other out of the way to grab the eggs... hoping that it'll be the one with the "big number". Greg saw us all go one way, so he hobbled the other. (He has a walking cast on his foot!) He thought he was so smart... but I won! Yea!

Sunday the girls woke up to find "egg baskets" outside their bedroom doors. The candy that they found was immediately stuffed in their mouths! {Can you tell by their cheeks?}

Later we met my mom and Mike at Amadeus for an early Easter dinner. The experience was less than fabulous, but Ali loved being in a "castle" for a little while.

Sun!

We loved it when the sun came out! We got outside and soaked it up. :)

Ali is very much into choosing her own outfits these days... most of the time it's a battle I choose not to fight. {Especially when we're not going anywhere!}

The girls & I pulled out the finger paints the other day. They had so much fun smearing & painting. Ali took her time & worked on her masterpiece... Merilyn managed to get paint everywhere. Are we surprised?

Camp Snoopy

Our last day in California was spent at Knott's Berry Farm. Ali says, "Disneyland was bigger & better, but I still liked it!" She loved the Lucy show & the roller coaster in Camp Snoopy. Travis loved all of the big, fast, crazy rides! He went on all of them alone! Poor guy! {However, he didn't seem to mind one bit!} I loved the log ride... the picture of us is hilarious! Meri looked like she was bring tortured, but she asked to go on it again & again.

After our day at Knott's Berry Farm, we hit the road. Another long journey! The girls and I took slept all night, while the drivers took turns sleeping & driving. We could tell the minute we crossed the Oregon border...
