I really liked Elizabeth Gilbert's book Eat, Pray, Love. (I read it more than once!) I really enjoy the way she writes. It's so easy to read... it's witty, self-deprecating, and I can relate to (some of) what she writes about. In her new book, she's taking a look at the statistics of marriage, and the history of marriage - which sounds like it could be a dry topic - but is actually very interesting. (But, I think Gilbert's writing makes all the difference between what could be boring and not!)
I am so looking forward to seeing the movie Eat, Pray, Love when it comes out in August, with one exception. And, it's kind of a big one... the main actress. Julia Roberts is playing Elizabeth Gilbert, and she's just... not Elizabeth. (It probably doesn't help that she's not my favorite actress.)
