MIA... again.

It has been so cRazY lately... sickness going all around and coming back again, car accidents, computers crashing, end-of-the-school year craziness, kindergarten round-up & all kinds of field trips...

I am hoping that I will be able to stop paddling and start swimming. Very soon.

Cannon Beach

Spring Break came and went... always too fast. This year we didn't go anywhere! It was so nice to not have any agendas or plans. :) One of the nights the girls and I had a "date night". We started out at Red Robin, went over to Barnes & Noble for new books, and then to Menchie's (our new favorite place) for yogurt. Another night we had a slumber party in the family room with "Despicable Me" and popcorn. (Daddy had to work a lot at the beginning of the week.)

At the end of the week we drove to Cannon Beach for two nights. My favorite place! It was fairly nice during the day, and incredible stormy at night. The rain and wind was crazy!

The next day we went to town for lunch and some shopping, and later we went for a walk on the beach. It was sunny, but very windy and chilly. Travis and I were bundled up in layers... Although the girls insisted they only needed sweatshirts.

It was a great way to end our break! Although, I wish we could've stayed longer!

Finally... sun!

The weather has been very unpredictable lately... I had 2 two-hour late starts, and Ali had a late start day, and a no school day all because of random snowstorms. Crazy! It's late March! We were really hoping for some spring weather soon...

When the sun does decide to make an appearance, we'll be outside soaking up as much vitamin D as we can.

My Girls

They are growing up so fast! They're turning out wonderfully, though, if I do say so myself. :)

Happy Birthday Travis!

A few highlights from the day:
*The cake was made... without water. Oops! That explains why it was so thick when I poured it into the pans.
*Merilyn was in charge of sprinkles.

Sleep Over

Our favorite guests for sleep overs are our cousins. I never know what imaginative adventure they'll have when they get together with Natalie and Johnna! (Someday Miss Charlotte will join in on all of the fun...!) Today they were enjoying the sun that was coming and going.

Like I said, I'm never sure what the girls will come up with... like lining up in the driveway in chairs, strollers, and wagons... with blankets and sunglasses to watch the
goings-on of the neighborhood.

Happy Birthday Ali!

Ali celebrated her 9th birthday with homemade mac & cheese at Grandma Sandy's house with all of her family. (Nine, really!?) The celebration continued with her friends Saturday afternoon. They watched movies, ate lots of popcorn and candy, played "Just Dance" on the Wii, and giggled, laughed, and played. It seemed like a good afternoon for a 9-year old. :)

Later that night, the Pflegers, Gramma and Grampa came over for pizza and cake. Her favorite birthday present was her new blue Dsi from Daddy. (She thought she was done with presents, but when she went to bed, she found one more waiting for her under the covers!)
